A LOVELY EVENING WITH LAGOS

Last month jeweler LAGOS took over a luxurious corner of Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia for a progressive party to celebrate the re-design of their flagship store.  It began at hot new restaurant aKitchen (where I wanted to try everything on the menu), continued with cocktails and conversation just steps away in the store and concluded with dessert and more wine back in the lobby of the new AKA Rittenhouse Square hotel, a high-end Korman extended stay property.  Owner Steven Lagos and store director Janice Waitkus were warm and inviting hosts and the evening had a cozy feeling not usually found at a corporate affair.

The store’s new design mimics the feel of a LAGOS jewelry box, with lush blackberry velvet display cases just begging you to delve inside. As a perfect final touch, we all left with a velvet travel jewelry case tucked inside our LAGOS bags.
